Here is August's Mage Mod List. Please continue to post here with your favorite Mage-Related mods.

If you're new to downloading mods. You should probably read Ronin49's Current Mod List and Links and Aragon's Mage Strategy Guide so you don't end up downloading mods you just don't need. And, ofcourse, if it isn't 100% Mage-Related, you won't find it here, but you can probably find it on Telesphoros' Current Mod List.

Races

Drow Race v1.7 for BB v2.0 by Shadowtech/Dreamweaver - A stunning adaptation of D&D's Drow Race for Better Bodies v2.0. Includes both males and females. You can also get alternate male textures here.

Drow Race 1.7 for SB v1.0 by Shadowtech/Dreamweaver - A Smoother Bodies version of the Drow Race.

Jo'Rakht by Sabregirl - This is race of Khajiit-Dunmer hybrids. They are a complete Khajiit re-skin - not just a re-color.

Keynari by Sabregirl - A fox type race specializing in magicka. As with all of Sabregirl's custom races, the Keynari have been balanced using the 310/45 Rule.

Pharlans by Sabregirl - A winged race that gets a massive magicka bonus. Totally balanced and totally gorgeous.

Ra'Kath Panther Khajiit by Evil Panther Productions - The initial inspiration/influence for this new panther race was the Drow from D&D. These panthers are part of an offshoot Khajiit bloodline, branded by the Tamriel Gods for an ancient transgression, living in exile from their clansmen.

White Senche Tiger Khajiits by Kieve - Adds White Senche-Raht Tiger Khajiits as a playable race. Seven choices of heads and hair, silver/white or black variants on some hair choices. Yes, there are vampire heads included! Be sure to get the v1.1 Patch and the Expansion.

Quests/Factions

Amulet of Scrye by Ivza - Amulet of Scrye is a mod for Morrowind. It adds to the world of Morrowind an amulet and a new spell. The otherworld is closer than you would think. The dead are calling for you - and you can hear their call with the amulet. To see and talk with them, you need to cast the spell.

Cult of Clouds by MWoody - Unhappy with the somewhat anticlimactic rewards of the Mages Guild? Tired of the snobbish Telvanni mages? Try the Cult of the Clouds, a faction that focuses on truly powerful magery. So powerful, in fact, that members of the guild have been known to gain control over the weather...

The Illuminated Order by Charles Devito and LDones - Adventure into unknown depths, and plunge into the greatest mysteries of Vvardenfell with the Illuminated Order! Join a paranoid and secretive sect of the most mysterious and skilled researchers & adventurers in all of Tamriel. See amazing sights! Combat against impossible odds! Seek out and utilize strange and powerful artifacts, unlike anything seen before! And at the end of it all, have the opportunity to become a powerful lich!

Theurgist by NarkyBark - A crazy old Telvanni Theurgist has left the House, and now lives as a hermit among his summoned creations. Although a bit of a loon, he has mastery over the elements and is willing to pass on his knowledge and gear to someone who will do his bidding.

Game Improvements/Fixes

Better Soul Gems by NelothsMouth - This mod replaces all soulgems and Azura's Star with more eye-pleasing versions.

Dodging Mod by Horatio - This mod adds a sanctuary ability to the character based on their unarmored skill. The maximum sanctuary you can get is 50 - at 100 unarmored. Unarmored must be at least twice as high as any of your other armor skills in order to work. So no running around in daedric while reaping the sanctuary bonus.

Dynamic Magicka Regeneration by Duncan - This plugin adds a global script to the game which dynamically regenerates the players magicka. It does this by using the player's intelligence, willpower, restoration skill, mysticism skill, maximum magicka, magicka ratio, fatigue ratio, and health ratio.

Book Rotate by Cydine & Maboroshi Daikon - When you drop a book in Morrowind, it lies on it's side with the bottom facing towards you. If, like me, you have a large collection of books then they will look very messy when stacked in this manner. This plugin adds scripting to every closed book in the game. It allows you to place books vertically and horizontally wherever you please.

EBJ Spell Organizer by MovingTarget - Ever get in a pinch and can't remember what that one spell you so desperately need to use is even called? Now, all you need is to know what kind of spell you want. Each standard spell is preceeded with the initial letter of it's college to group them together. *Note*: This does not organize custom spells or spells added by other mods, but it is still extremely useful!

Herbalism by Balor - In simple terms: Fixes plants and adds a Herbalism skill.

Mages' Guild Fixes by Nymeria - The first one fixes an error in Sadrith Mora Mages’ Guild, where the potions’ chest was not assigned to Tusamircil, the alchemist, but to another character. It also adds a Supply Chest to the Caldera Mages’ Guild.

Missing Bounds by Veet - Adds the spells Bound Greaves and Bound Pauldrons so you can get a full set.

New Spell Icons by ManaUser - The purpose of this mod is to replace those vague blobs of daedric letters that passed for spell icons before with something a little more meaningful.

Magic Sound Effect Replacement Mod by Lucypher - Replaces almost all magicka sound effects with higher quality and somewhat eerie replacements. A total improvement over the original sounds!

Spellcasting Mod by Horatio - Reduces spellcasting cost based on your skill in the relevant casting school (destruction, alteration, etc). The spell costs won't appear any lower in the magic menu, but you'll notice that they start costing a lot less to cast as your skill increases.

Wakim's Game Improvements by Wakim and Qwert - This is a compilation of tweaks which have been posted by Wakim on the forums, in mod format for easier use. These tweaks tend to make Flee AI actually work, balance gameplay, spells, characters, almost everything. You can also get a version with No-Glo included here.

Items/Clothing

Amulet Collection by The_Conjurer - Amulet Collection adds about a dozen custom model amulets to the MW world with some very interesting enchantments. Can you find them all? For sale at several traders or hidden in the game world.

The Black Book of Alchemy 2.0 by The_Conjurer - The Black Book of Alchemy adds a slick black book for sale at Jobasha's, with a most interesting content for alchemists.

Elemental Spell Books by Campbell - This mod adds an NPC at the top of the tower in the Mages' Guild in Caldera selling spell books of shock, flame, and frost which protect you from the desired effect while inflicting it on a target.

The Hidden Pathway by Star Boi - This adds a shop in Pelagiad that sells unique, and highly magical weapons. Nothing is unbalanced, but it could be as Star Boi designed this for the purist mage in mind.

Kai Globes v2.6c by Slategrey - This mod adds more than 12 Magical Globes to Morrowind. Each globe has a different power, but they all require soul gems to recharge.

Magical Trinkets of Tamriel vol.2 by Chris Woods - Magical Trinkets of Tamriel adds several new and unique items to the world of Tamriel that are filtered into the random loot generator. Each of the new trinkets added is custom designed to be unlike anything seen in Morrowind to date in an attempt to make a completly new play experience. Items include: Emblems, Sigils, Foci, Unfinished Rings, Charms, Ioun Stones, Sarah Stones, Mana Bolts, Scepters, Shard Weapons and Linked Items

Necromantic Robes v2.1 by Canus - Tired of those pink and yellow robes that Mages seem to wear? Check out this mod for some fashion tips for the self-conscience Necromancer. Get the female version courtesy of CanadianIce here.

Potted Plants by andoreth - This mod adds potted plants that can be bought from the trader Ancola in Sadrith Mora. Not only are they decorative, but in time, they will mature enough for small harvests.

Telvanni Robes by Canus - When you think Telvanni, don't you usually think dark and mysterious? Well, now they can start looking the part rather than just acting it. Don't forget to get the female version courtesy of CanadianIce here.

Tome of Ancient Knowledge by Mephisto - A powerful and ancient book, containing the mysteries of magic. Create your own spells without the need to travel to the Guild of Mages or visit the Telvanni.

Wizard Clothes by Aragon - This mod adds wizard clothes to the shop of the fine clothier Milie Hastien in Balmora. These clothes have a higher enchantment rating than normal. This mod is meant especially for unarmored heroes, one could consider it cheating to use this mod together with a heavily armored hero.

Wizard Hats by Daduke - Adds 31 recolored Wizard Hats to game world that can be bought in the following mage guilds: Ald-ruhn, Balmora, Caldera, Vivec. You have to be a member of the Mages' Guild before you can buy one because it is the symbol of a Wizard; A symbol of status. Some sellers will refuse to sell you hats if your level is too low, but not all.

Wizard Staffs v2.0 by Tjolbi aka pc_freak - This mod adds 6 new staff's to morrowind which shoot their enchantment instead of you casting it. They are added to the "random excellent melee weapon" misc item so you'll have to search for them.

Spells/Summoning

Infernal Summoning by Lap - The mod lets you summon creatures with no time limitation through a balanced and roleplayish way. A must for all conjurers. Don't forget the patch to version 1.1.

Inscription 2.0 by The DopeHatMan - Inscription 2.0 is a complete revamp of the original. Inscription allows you to make scrolls based off of your magic skills using special paper and magickal ink.

New Scrolls by Campbell - Adds an NPC selling new scrolls to Vivec's Mages' Guild.

NPC Soultrap by Torgulf - This is a modular version of the NPC soultrapping that will be featured in Died Along the Way.

Scripted Spells v1.4 by Cortex - Transform into creatures that can be seen in 3rd person view. Steal spells from enemies minds. Add explosive damage to your attacks. Create walls of fire and animated bones. A must for anyone using Vampire Embrace. Game balanced, but with spells this cool, you'd download it even if it wasn't balanced..... Don't lie....

Summon More Monsters! by DarkDragon - Now you can summon nearly every original Morrowind and Tribunal creature! *Note* This mod might cause doubling of all NPCs in the various Mages' Guilds. Definatly still worth the download though!

Homes

MaGISTraTe's Mage's Guild Rewards v2.0 by MaGISTraTe - Lets say, for example, that you are a Grand Wizard in the Vvardenfell Guild of Mages. This is no longer the penniless convict we met before, this is a powerful and influential person, famed throughout the land, one of the most powerful mages around. Why would such a person live as a squatter, when any jumped up Telvanni worth his salt lives in a grand tower with an army of retainers? Of course, he wouldnt, but the original game makes no allowance for your growing stature (except in the Great Houses), and this is where this house mod comes into it's own...

Solstheim Mage's Tower v3.0 by Dr No - This mod adds a Mage's Tower to Solstheim and includes fast-travel from and to this tower. The first time you go there you need to travel on foot, a map with the location of the tower can be found in the Balmora Mages Guild.

Uvirith Inside v1.6 by The DopeHatMan - This was initially just going to be a combination of Uvirith's Vault and Uvirith Unleashed. Fully compatible with Towers of Uvirith.

The Towers of Uvirith by Astion - A large Telvanni-style structure located directly next to Tel Uvirith that boosts huge amounts of storage space. Fully compatible with Uvirith Inside v1.6.



This is in no way a comprehensive list. I'm just trying to add to my collection of Mage-related mods. I have no doubt that I've unfortunatly forgotten to include some wonderful mods... please take no offence, just post in this thread Here is a link to Last Month's Mage Mod list, for reference purposes.

Unfortunatly, this will probably be my last updated Mage-Mod Thread for a long time. I have recently enlisted in the Army, so I won't be having as much time on my hands as before. Ronin49 has been kind enough to offer to take over maintenance of this thread and it's future versions. Thanks alot Ronin!

I would also like to thank all of the authors listed above and everyone that they've thanked in their ReadMe's. Without these creative and dedicated people, Morrowind would definatly be a much more uninteresting place to be. Thanks Again!!

It's kind of funny to see in how many different categories ppl have put AoS... here it's "quests", on Telesphoros' list it's "spells and necromancy" and Gamer's Roam it's "Items and Weapons"... (No, I'm not complaining of the category you've put it in) However, a minor notice that AoS requires Tribunal might be in place.

Good job with the list, Reffa. These mod lists designed for a certain type character typse are quite welcome (and the red group titles stand out much better than just bold italics)

Yeah, I noticed that too. I figured that since it's 'Spells and Necromancy' on Telesphoros' List, I would get a touch more specific since this is a more specific list. And I have no idea what Gamer's Roam is thinking... it's a little more involved that just Items and Weapons.

I've had that problem too. Seems that Star Boi probably forgot to supply the store's vendor with some stuff to sell. You'll still come across all the items in the shop in the leveled items list, and if it really irritates you, you could just edit it yourself in the CS or just console in the items. Well, you could just steal them all too. Use the 'togglecollision' console command to get past those annoying barriers and display cases.

Reffa - In the Races section, you might wish to consider including Eltmer by Aragorn. I have not yet played this mod and can only guess what the situation would be with BH, BB and SB compatibility.

Has anyone tried this mod? Just curious about what scrolls are sold. I downloaded it, but there was no readme file with the ESP.

I've tried it out. It's excatly what it claims to be. New Scrolls... nothing too overpowered, just some home-made scrolls that are a little more.. hmm... useful than 80% of the garbage 'filler' scrolls that came with the original game.

There was a plug-in that increased your magicka by 4% a level, so you gained a small amount of magicka by default when you leveled up, even if you didn't put any points into intelligence. But I don't remember the name of the plug-in.

Anyone else have trouble downloading this? (clliking the little save button, opening the file, and nothing pops up)

Update to Kai Globes Entry

Kai Globes has been upgraded to v2.7 to fix an incompatability with mods that require you to sleep regularly. A few cosmetic changes were also made, most noticably with the globes. There are two sets now, shiny or more in tune with morrowind. You have both in the zip file.

Two mods you might want to take a look at.
Extended Spell Effects: makes spells take longer to reach full effect...totals stay the same but as an example what was a 200 points of damage in 1 second spell now becomes a 20 point/sec for 10 seconds spell. Sometimes it is fun to watch those evil enemies slowly roast instead of just falling down cooked.
Blank Enchantable Scrolls: adds scrolls of various enchantibility levels to various levelled lists around MW. Neither is new and both are on the summit.

I just downloaded the cult of the clouds mod and I cant seem to get any quests from the guild master or his followers. Can you tell me how to get the quests since I assume you played through it already. Nice list btw never seen some of these mods b4

Once you are accepted as a member, I think you get your first FedEx type quest from the lady closest to the cave door. I don't remember the exact dialogue you have to click on to start the quest. This is an older mod so it is possible that the proper dialogues have been repositioned by some later mod.

I tried out Extended Spell Effects but didn't think it fit my playstyle. It feels professional and well-made. I just didn't think it was for me There were many times that fast, high-damage spells saved my character's butt. If it had been changed to a slow version, I definatly wouldn't have survived.

Blank Enchanted Scrolls sounds very interesting. I haven't seen that one yet, but I'll definatly try it out. I'm curious to see how the author worked this one.

I suspect that was his motivation for making the mod, to enable/force spell casters to vary their strategies.
Blank enchantable used the levelled lists a lot ( too much in my opinion ).

They are poor at handling weapons and are very weak from the ages spent in Oblivion but their magick capabilities far surpass any of the mer on Nirn. Play as an Aedron to rid Morrowind of the heretics or be mercilessly hunted by them. This mod adds new weapons, spells, magic wands, quests, races, dungeons, KingsGrynn Abbey and four new cities.Walkthough available here.

I DL'd and played a while... I like it except I can't get through the vision by the pool, it keeps crashing at the same spot. I've tried a few things but no luck - it's a stopper for now.

OK, It's worse than I thought. Now all my saves seem to be corrupted and crash. I have done nothing but load this mod.... even with the esp unchecked I have major problems, eg. hitting quickkey 0 brings up a random weapon instead of H2H ( how I first noticed it ) and then crashes. Anyone seen something like this? Any advice on how to fix it?

fragonard - you might try the author or perhaps redwoodtreesprite or Cow_Guru both of whom seemed quite familiar with the mod on this thread - Haunted.

Here's a quick update to the list, just so I don't forget about adding them to the main list later

Dodge Mod Enhanced by LDones - This is an upgraded version of Horatio's original Dodge Mod

The Aedronicon by GBT3E - This is an oldy but goody. Adds a new, extremely magical race called the Aedron. While neither a BB or SB race, the quest and evolution of the characters are amazing, unique and well made.

Leveled Magicka by hessi9 - Adds 4% more Magicka per level-up.

I'm not going to include download links for the following 2 mods since they are still beta and I'm not sure if the authors would like the mods released so soon. But they definatly are shaping up to be amazing so this is more to inform the Forums readers with a magely-persuasion that there are some really good ones up and coming.

[beta]Leveled Birthsigns by e sage - Adds about 14 new birthsigns that add new spells/abilites/powers as the player raises levels.

[beta]LichCraft by VenomByte - A new take on the playable Lich. Offers leveling abilites, spellcrafting/enchanting abilites and a very interesting 'retreat' if the Lich suffers too much in the mundane world.

That's it for the moment.. as usual, I'm always hunting for more Mage-Mods... please keep this thread informed on New Releases and your personal favorites.

I think thats a question you'd need to direct to the author. But I think they named it what they wanted to name it.

Druids-Summons by HonorableKoala. M T B Adds 16 new summons spells to the game - all animals. It includes everything from scribs to betty netches to snow bears, plus an addition created by the author.
